Terms & Conditions

By hiring a garment from Digital Drobe, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you’re under 18 years old, please review these terms with a parent or guardian.

1. General Terms

1.1 By completing a booking, you agree to the most recent version of these Terms and Conditions, forming a legally binding contract with My Digital Drobe.

1.2 My Digital Drobe reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Please ensure you’re familiar with the latest terms before each booking.

2. Bookings, Payments & Bond

2.1 To secure your booking, a $20 deposit or full payment must be made. Without this payment, your booking will not be reserved.

2.2 For security purposes, all clients are required to provide the following information, including but not limited to:

- Government Recognised ID
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Postal Address

2.3 We reserve the right to cancel bookings, in which case a full refund will be issued if:

- Full payment and information are not provided.
- The garment is unavailable due to damage or prior booking issues.

2.4 The standard rental period is 4 days. If you’d like to extend your hire, simply reach out to us via DM or email. Extended hire requests will be held as pending until an additional hire fee is paid. Once this payment is completed, we’ll confirm your new return date and finalise the extended hire.

2.5 A security bond is required for all rentals, with the bond amount depending on the value of each garment. The bond will be refunded within 2-3 business days after we have received and inspected the dress to confirm it has been returned in its original condition.

3. Try-On Appointments

We offer 30-minute try-on appointments at our South Brisbane location, exclusively for our Brisbane clients. A $15 booking fee applies to reserve your appointment.

3.1 If you decide to hire the garment within 48 hours of your try-on appointment, the $15 booking fee will be deducted from your hire price. If you choose not to proceed with the hire, or if you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, the booking fee is non-refundable.

3.2 A try-on does not reserve the dress for your hire date. Garments are only held once full payment has been made. For peace of mind, we encourage you to try on garments before committing to payment, especially if sizing is a concern.

3.3 For local customers who choose not to try on a garment before booking, we provide a store credit (valid for 12 months) if the item doesn’t fit and is returned the same day.

3.4 Garments tried on are treated with the same care policy as rentals. To protect our garments, please avoid wearing makeup or fresh fake tan to your appointment. Any stains or damages from try-ons may incur additional cleaning fees or, in serious cases, a replacement charge.

4. Pickups & Returns

4.1 All garments must be returned on the date specified in your booking, either by local drop-off or through a YELLOW EXPRESS POSTAGE BIN at your nearest post office by 5 pm. For weekend hires, please ensure returns are made by Monday at 5 pm, unless otherwise arranged. Late returns may incur additional fees.

  • Local Returns: For local drop-offs, please return the garment in the My Digital Drobe bag provided, following the instructions outlined in our confirmation email.
  • Postage Returns: For postal returns, use the reusable mailer provided and the Express return label. If you’ve misplaced the mailer, you’ll need to purchase a YELLOW EXPRESS mailer from Australia Post. We recommend lodging the parcel over the counter for proof of return or placing it in a YELLOW EXPRESS POSTAGE BIN.

4.2 If the item is not returned by the times outlined above, the client will be charged a $30.00 late fee for every day the item is returned late.

4.3 If another booking is affected by damage or late return, you may be charged for any lost booking fees.

4.4 By booking with us, you authorise My Digital Drobe to charge any applicable late fees to the original payment method on file if returns are delayed beyond the agreed period.

5. Postage & Shipping

5.1 Garments are shipped early in the week to ensure they arrive 1-2 days before your event. You’ll receive a tracking number upon dispatch.

5.2 Our shipping fee is $30, which includes Express postage both ways. This covers express postage to you and express postage back to us.

5.3 We are not liable for any lost or late parcels by Australia Post. All posted hires are at customers risk, and digital drobes cannot be held accountable for any late or lost deliveries

5.4 In the event a hired garment arrives via postage and does not fit or meet the customer's needs for their event, they can receive a store credit valid for 12 months from the date it delivers. The garment must be returned within 24 hours of delivery and must be handed over the counter at the post office to be eligible for a store credit.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

6.1 If you cancel your booking at least 14 days before your event, a store credit may be offered. This credit is valid for 12 months from the issue date. Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable and will not be eligible for store credit.

6.2 Please note that this is a hire business where garments have been worn more than once. All our garments are in good worn condition. Customers acknowledge that they will be wearing second-hand items which have been rented by other customers. Therefore, refunds or discounts will not be issued for minor wear which could be expected of a second-hand garment.

6.3 While we do our best to maintain the highest quality of the garment, in the unlikely case you receive a damaged item from us a refund may be considered if the following are adhered:

  • You must notify us immediately and provide photo evidence of the issue within 3 hours of delivery or pickup. Failure to do so may result in responsibility for the damage.
  • Faulty garments must be returned unworn (i.e., not used for any event) within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
  • If the garment is returned late, without proof of timely postage or drop-off, eligibility for a refund or credit may be forfeited.

6.4 Once we receive and inspect the garment, we will determine whether a refund is approved. Refunds will not be issued if the item is deemed wearable with minor damage.

6.5 If the garment is considered unwearable, a refund will be issued, less shipping costs, to your original payment method. My Digital Drobe reserves the right to determine appropriate compensation

6.6 In cases of severe damage, you may be responsible for the garment’s full retail price.

7. Cleaning & Garment Care

7.1 All cleaning is handled by us—please do not clean garments yourself. Cleaning costs are included in the hire price unless otherwise stated.

7.2 We ask clients to handle all garments gently, particularly around food, beverages, makeup, fake tan, jewelry, and bags, as these can easily damage materials such as silk, cotton, wool, and polyester.

7.3 If a garment becomes soiled or damaged, do not attempt to clean it yourself, as improper handling can worsen the damage and increase repair costs. Instead, please notify us immediately and return the garment in the provided packaging.

7.4 If the garment is returned in a damaged or altered condition, or if additional cleaning or repairs are needed, the bond may be held temporarily. Any required repair or cleaning costs will be deducted from the bond.

7.5: Any adjustments or alterations to the garment without prior approval from My Digital Drobe will void the bond refund.

8. Collaborations

8.1 All collaborators must pay the $30 postage fee for delivery and return, which is non-refundable.

8.2 Collaborators are expected to fulfill all agreed-upon commitments. If a collaborator does not meet the terms of the agreement, My Digital Drobe reserves the right to charge compensation for any resulting loss of bookings or damages. The specific amount will be determined based on the extent of the impact on our business.

8.3 Collaborators are required to treat all garments with the same care expected of regular clients. This includes avoiding potential damage from makeup, fake tan, perfume, food, or rough surfaces. Any damages or late returns will result in applicable repair or late fees.

8.4 Content created as part of a collaboration with My Digital Drobe becomes shared intellectual property and may be used across our digital platforms, including social media, website, and promotional materials. This content cannot be redistributed by third parties, including other social media accounts, websites, or other platforms, without our prior consent.

8.5 Collaborators are required to return all garments promptly by the agreed-upon return date. Garments should be returned in the provided express mailer, with proof of lodgement obtained at an Australia Post location or by using a YELLOW EXPRESS POSTAGE BIN.
